Side Notes | 6th September

Side Notes is a weekly round up of everything and anything that catches our short attention span over the past week, coming to you live and direct every Friday.

Lost in Thought

A surf film with no discernible sponsors or recognisable talent and doesn't involve a single sequence of waxing a board in a car park? This is cutting edge surf cinema. Pasadena native Hunter Martinez gathered all his highly talented Californian friends and threw them into various waves in Panama to Portugal to Mexico.

Lana Del Rey - Doin' Time

Lana and Sublime? Of course it was going to work. The first single from her latest album Norman Fucking Rockwell is a cover of Sublime's 1997 single, to which the surviving band members all give credit to Lana's take on the classic. Unfortunately by the time you read this, popular radio would have played this to death, squeezing the life out of everything good, so enjoy it while you can.

Almost - Cheese & Crackers

Another classic from Almost, starring the creative genius of Chris Haslam and Daewon Song laying waste to a mini ramp for fifteen solid minutes. Two skaters you just can never tire of watching, with winter drawing in and the inevitable wash out of every skate spot, its time to return indoors and up your mini ramp game. This is your instruction guide.
