Side Notes | 31st May

Side Notes is a weekly round up of everything and anything that catches our short attention span over the past week, coming to you live and direct every Friday.

SURF

Mason's Evil Twin

Five minutes of Mason Ho throwing himself off the lip and barreling himself ridiculously close to exposed rocks and sheer cliff faces. Unfazed by any sense of self preservation, the Hawaiian continues to ride solo, like anybody else would enter the lineup, and in a welcome turn of events, gives the reef a licking for a change.

MUSIC

The Velvet Underground - Rock and Roll

1970's Loaded was the band's final album involving founder and lead singer Lou Reed, who unceremoniously left disillusioned over the band's direction a week before the album's release. Loaded is always overlooked for the phenomenal debut album with Nico but this still holds up fresh over forty years later.

SKATE

Yuri Facchini | Almost 3AM | Rough Cut

The explosive and technically brilliant skating of Brazilian Yuri Facchini lays waste to the streets of Barcelona in Almost 3AM. Along with Fran Molina and Tyson Bowerbank, the full video is well worth a view too, check it out at Thrasher's site here.
