Scenes from Coldwater Journal

Ben Weiland has spent the past ten years chasing a different kind of surf adventure. Forgetting the idyllic tropical settings most surfers strive for, they prefer the more quiet and less-ventured surroundings, oh and the most unforgiving too. The film follows him, along with surfers Dane Gudauskas, Timmy Reyes, Cyrus Sutton, Alex Grey, Keith Malloy and Sam Hammer as they travel to the coldest and most inhospitable waves on the planet. The full film is out now, watch it here

Sharon van Etten - Jupiter 4

The New Jersey born Sharon van Etten follows up her 2014's Are We There with her fifth album Remind Me Tomorrow. Influences of Nick Cave have carried over to her newest release but with some electronic sound thrown in. This one's been on repeat for some time now.

Lakai - Fully Flared

Nothing comes close to the intro to Lakai's 2007 Fully Flared, even after a good twelve years after release. Spike Jonze directed the slow motioned, special effects-laden intro soundtracked by M83. If you haven't seen the full thing, check it out on YouTube here.
