SURF
Self Discovery for Social Survival
A voyage in sight, sound and surf. Combining both great surfers and even better music makes this feature a must watch. A unique take on the surf film, something that hasn't been done since the days of Crystal Voyager, is scoring the music for the film. Allah-Las, Connan Mockasin and Andrew Wyngarden (of MGMT fame) were all invited to score an original soundtrack, with a bunch of them going on the trip for inspiration. A variety of surfers feature, including the likes of Stephanie Gilmore, Creed McTaggart, Ryan Burch, Ellis Ericson and more.
MUSIC
Nils Frahm - Says
Just listen to this song with a good set of headphones in a darkened room and thank me later.

TV
The Mandalorian
Diverting somewhat from the usual path, I'm trading in the board for a blaster this week. After the absolute shit show, train wreck and all round-abomination that was The Last Jedi, all hope was lost. But then along came the trailer for The Mandalorian. Written and directed by John Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, it looks like Star Wars might be handled with actual care and talent. First two episodes are out, not legally in the UK mind, and so far, not bad.
